Booster compressors are on ideal choice for PET bottling applications whereas high pressure compressed air is required. Hertz offers a wide range of booster compressors that are able to boost the compressed air from a screw compressor (inlet pressure 8,10,13 bar) up to 40 bar.

Hertz’s wide range of Booster Series are designed with the latest innovations in reciprocating compressor technology. All compressor blocks are built and manufactured by HERTZ from 7.5 kW up to 55 kW capacity.
A booster takes air from a compressed air main and increases the pressure for certain applications such as seal testing in pneumatic and hydraulic devices, certain actuating cylinders, presses, clamping fixtures and PET bottle production.
Usually the volume of air demand at higher pressures of arround 40 bar is relatively small so the booster is an economical means of supply and more efficient than to lift the pressure in the complete air main to this level. Hertz boosters are delivered ready for use and include an air-cooled compressed air aftercooler as standard.
