The following two control methods are available for point measurement.
Torque control method: The load applied to the motor is controlled for each measurement point as the data are captured.
Speed control method: The rotation speed of the motor is controlled (via torque control) for each measurement point as the data are captured.
A load is applied to each specified point, and data are captured when the load control becomes stable.
Measurements are taken as the same procedure is applied repeatedly to each test point (of torque or speed). Because the data are captured after the load has become stable, they are not affected by moment of inertia.
Rich output functions
Torque analog signals, rotation speed pulse signals, rotation speed analog signals, and angle pulse signals are output from the connector on the rear side.
It comes with a function to turn ON/OFF of the power supply for the sample motor by sending contact signals.
Input power restriction function
If a motor’s output power at each measurement point (both in the auto and manual modes) exceeds the maximum input power of the torque meter, the brake is released to prevent brake damage.
Yokogawa Electric’s WT1800 Precision Power Analyzer and WT310/WT333 Digital Power Meter are selectable for input power measurement. When combined with WT1800, the voltage, current, or power of up to six channels can be measured. Choose the best one depending on the motor type and usage.
When combined with an ATM series torque meter, the angle–torque (θ–T) characteristics can be measured.
GO/NO GO test function
The standard software comes with GO/NO GO test function. Set the torque points up to four points, then the system controls the torque and tests pass/fail according to the current and speed criteria. The test result can be automatically saved in the computer.
